A Veterinarian was sick and went to see the doctor.
The doctor asked him all the usual questions about symptoms etc., when he interrupted him: "Hey look, I am a Vet - *I* don't need to ask my patients all these questions. I can tell what is wrong just by looking." He added, "Why can't you?"

The doctor nodded, stood back, looked him up and down, quickly wrote out a prescription, handed it to him, and said, "There you are. ...Of course, if *that* does not work, we'll have to have you put down."

Cookie, our second child

This is Cookie a toy fox terrier. She is spending the whole month with Peanut :)
In the beginning she was a bit shy but now she is "running the pack" and bossing around other doggies.
I assume she got her confidence because she thinks it is her home now. She loves to go outside and sniffle around the yard and patio. It is very hot in June, so we only visit the yard for a short pee break and sniffle time but she just want to stay a little longer until I bribe her with a small cookie to come inside.
She also likes to cuddle with us on the sofa. I think she will be happy when she see her family again after one month. We will miss you Cookie.

Minnie is looking for a home

Minnie was born in Spain in January 1999, she was "saved" together his her brother as the other puppies were not as lucky as Minnie.

She grew up with my oldest 3 kids, who were always surrounded by their friends, so she is quite familiar and use to children. Minnie is a quick learner, she obeys all orders (in English). Minnie is a great companion, she loves to stay around people, on the other hand she does not like taking baths (even though she behaves very well during the bath) and she is very afraid of thunderstorms. She has no pre-existing medical conditions. She takes a daily supplement for the joints as this breed develops some arthritis in the joints.

Few years ago we moved back to the US, and since then she was leaving in an apartment (not the best place for a dog of this kind). Two years ago we got our youngest daughter, who unfortunately has asthma, consequently she cannot be around animals. During these 2 years Minnie has stayed with the older brother and sisters but all of them had moved abroad for professional reasons and Minnie moved with my mother in law, in a tiny apartment, as she cannot stay at home due to the above mentioned situation. As you can appreciate this is not the best life style we can provide to our loved dog

With the biggest pain in our heart we have no other option other than find a suitable, caring and capable family to adopt Minnie.

Candy's story with Cosmo - We need a home for this sweet dog, Cosmo is really a special dog to me

Candy's story:
It's a long drawn out story but here it goes. Me, my boyfriend and his little girl are are taking the next step and are moving in together. Here's my saga….about 5 years ago I ended a long term relationship with my fiance and my dog of 15 years died. Being sad and lonely ( and basically not thinking of ever wanting to have a relationship again), I went to the Humane Society and looked to adopt a dog that needed love (my love of course1), and found Cosmo (picture here). Cosmo was VERY loving, cute, already housebroken, and knew a few commands (sit, paw, etc…). Took Cosmo home and we started our life together (perfect story right?) well the one thing they neglected to tell me was Cosmo didn't dig other animals ( AT ALL!)), well I didn't care cause she was the only one for me, I didn't have any other pets so what!! (till now!). My boyfriend has 3 dogs and 2 cats. Cosmo hates them all. We have tried everything to have them get along, fact is she just don't like them. So I am looking for someone who has some extra love or needs some extra love, to give Cosmo a good home. There's a lot more to the story and if you are really interested in Cosmo I'll tell you….but if your not…don't ask for details cause it's breaking my heart to have to do this. Thanks for listening!!

Fluffy McScratch - Darwin

Darwin, or " Fluffy McScratch " as Daddy calls him. Darwin just loves to scratch my Mommy's arm when he needs attention or just too exited to see her. He is a very active and super smart dog. Darwin also arrives from more than an hour away from Hollywood. Darwin once saved Charlotte, his mom life by waking her up when she forget to turn off the car engine in the garage and the house was filling up with carbon dioxide.
Darwin loves to be brushed, and when he is done with brushing he looks all fluffed up.

Sasha, my old girlfriend

This is Sasha, my old very gentle buddy. Sasha is from Hollywood and Mommy is taking care of here for about 5 years now. She is a real sweet dog. She likes to cuddle with us on the bed or just hang out on the sofa. When the weather is bad, my Daddy builds a tent under the table where Sasha likes to hide. Sasha is a hurricane rescue dog and she really afraid of thunderstorms.

Hugo my boyfriend... just don't tell Max

Hello, it is Peanut and this is my boyfriend Hugo. Mommy is being obnoxious with the camera and we just woke up. When Hugo arrives I am very happy, I think Lulo is being jealous a bit. Hugo always shares his bed with me. I am also very happy, because when Lulu and Hugo stay with us Mommy is always buying chicken and I can have some too. Nice roasted chicken, yummy. 

Alex, my friend looking for a new family

This is ALEX.
Alex is a rescue dog who was on the list to be killed, but a wonderful lady Liz from Be Kind To Animal Rescue saved his life. 
We have Alex here for 2 weeks already and he is getting better. He is still very timid and he follows my Mommy EVERYWHERE.
Alex spends his days sitting under my Mommy's computer table while she is working on the computer. Yesterday, my Mommy took Alex for a jogging but Alex was terrified of the cars and all kind of noises. If you would like to adopt Alex please call Liz at 954 662-7597 He needs a loving, relaxed home.

Baron - little dachshund dog boarding

Baron is a little Dachshund just like me. My Mommy adores him, so I get jealous sometimes and I am trying to jump up while my Mommy carries him. 

Because Baron is very old, my Mommy helps him walk outside. Baron loves to hang outside on the sun. I think because he is old and the warm weather is smoothing his arthritis.

Puppy - West Palm Beach dog boarding

Puppy, my friend is a little chihuahua. She was a bit unfriendly with me the first day, but now she sleeps with me next to mommy in the bed. Puppy arrived here with her brother Baron, who is a little doxie just like me. While Puppy & Baron's parents are cruising, they are having a dog gone good vacation in my home.

Riley...You are such a good dog, that next to you I look like a bad dog. My mommy is very happy to have you stay with us, because you are such an easy dog to take care of. Thank you for being so gentle when you snuggle next to me and my Mommy. I also appreciate that you don't try to chew my toys like other dogs do. You are such a good dog. I know I have to wait an other year before your mom comes to Florida again, but I hope to see you soon. I have a big yard now, I am sure you would love it too. I show you next year :)

Beau, my big fluffy friend

tHi, this is Beau, my big fluffy and cute friend. My mommy had to brush Beau every day because he has so much hair. He was a very cool friend to have around my house. Beau's favorite thing is just lay on the sofa and be petted. That sounds like fun. Thank you so much for South Paw Grooming to recommend my mommy.
I hope Beau's mom and dad will leave again soon so I can have my fluffy friend back again.

My big stuffed wiener doggy toy

Hello, it is Peanut from under the cover. It is a bit chilly so I dig myself under the cover. Mommy and Daddy bought me a stuffed wiener doggy as all my friends left today. When they arrived home with my new stuffed friend I was very happy. I chewed on him, humped him, shook him then I got tired and went inside my cover while mommy put my new stuffed toy next to me for a picture.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine’s Day! This is my imaginary boyfriend in the picture bringing me a rose. My daddy is a very thoughtful guy; he always surprises my mommy with a big bunch of roses on Valentine ’s Day. We had so much fun today. We had a fun weekend with Lucy, Sunny & Michael and a new friend Callaway. It was the first time that Callaway stayed in our home. He looks like a miniature Labrador and he is lot of fun to have around.  He joined my barking frenzy when I saw the ducks walking on the street while mommy took us for a long walk. He likes to snuggle with me and mommy when we go to sleep.

Message from one of our client Robin who is volunteering for Afghan Rescue

I was wondering if you knew of anyone who could help me foster or perhaps adopted one or both of these dogs.
There were 5 afghans now only 2 left. The owner refuses to give them to rescue and was going to put them to sleep.
The girl who I am working with has the 3 other dogs and they needed some love, but were healthy and are thriving.
The problem is once I take the dogs I need a place to bring them. I believe the female has had a few a litters I am sure these dogs were used for breeding purposes. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it.

We are moving!!!

Hey Guys, Mommy and Daddy are very happy today. They just find out that we are going to buy the house what they dreamed about so long. We are going to have a huge yard and a big house to run around. I can also bark like crazy if I hear a noise outside, because we won't have any condo neighbors anymore to disturb. (they don't like me that much because of my voice, but I am the cutest dog in the block and I only back if they knock the door) I will have such a good life. Mommy told me that she is going to build me a playground and a sandbox.

Casper my new buddy

This is Casper, my new friend. Although Casper doesn't like to play with me that much, I think he is a pretty cool dog. He prefers to sleep pretty much the whole day. Casper mom Suely is a wonderful lady who saved Casper life and now she is looking for a forever family for my new buddy Casper. When my mommy feeds us breakfast and dinner, I always have to wait in the other room while Casper eats his food. I am always very eager to finish his food, but mommy want to keep me away from his left over Beneful.

My daddy: Jeff

Hello, This is my daddy: Jeff. I love to lick his face before we go to sleep, when he comes home, when he gives me a treat, when he picks me up to sit on his lap, when the hugs me, when we watch tv, when he is playing on his video games and pretty much EVERY TIME.  Sometimes he says that it is enough now, because I never know when it is enough. Sometimes when he plays the "Call of Duty" game or if there is something really interesting on tv he want me to play with my favorite octopus instead of and give up the licking of his face.  Mommy thinks that the Call of Duty video game is stupid anyway, so I persist of licking daddy's face.

My friends Mia and Napoleon

I have two more new friends, a little yorkie named Mia, and Napoleon, who is a Chihuahauaua (is that right?  It is so hard to spell it!!)  They are both pretty cool to have around.  Mia is really smart, she likes to sit on mommy’s lap while and help her out when she is working on the computer.  Sometimes I think she is actually logging onto the computer when mommy isn’t in the chair to get some extra work done! Mia even joins me, mommy and daddy in bed at night for sleeping.  Napoleon is more laid back, he likes to snooze on the fluffy blanket we have folded up at the foot of the bed.  Can’t say I blame him, I’ve napped on that same blanket before and it is C-O-M-F-Y!  They are a great pair, can’t wait until I get to see them again!

 

My friend Toya

Hey, Peanut here again, wanted to tell you about a new friend of mine, a little white poodle named Toya.  She was a little shy at first, but now we have a great time playing together all day long!  Toya has a very cool doggie bed, probably the most coziest I ever saw.  Sometimes during the day she lets me take a nap in it, and it is sweet!  Of course at night she is in her bed while I cuddle in with mommy and daddy, but she is a great friend to share during the day!

Peanut is eating

Hey, it’s Peanut again.  I won’t lie to you: I love to eat!  They say that I don’t really eat my food, but I just inhale it.  Hey, I was smallest in a litter of three; if I didn’t eat fast I didn’t eat at all!  Now when my friends come over mommy usually puts me in the other room so that I don’t eat everyone’s food at once!  I don’t think that is really fair, but she says not everybody can eat as fast as me, but everybody still needs to eat!  She even put a movie of me eating here, check it out!

Peanut in her Snuggie

Hello, Peanut reporting in! Mommy says that I am the cutest puppy in the world, but I think everybody’s mommy tells them that! I am pretty cute though, just check out this picture of me in my new Snuggie for dogs that I got for Christmas! Even though it is usually pretty warm down here in Florida, there have been some days when I have been glad I can wear it! Even with the Snuggie I still like to burrow under the covers in bed, nothing else in the world is so cozy!
